Delhi Belly

On our way out of Jaipur we make a stop at the Amber Fort, watch the elephants walk tourist to the top of the hill, (as for me I walked). Back in the truck and several hours, naps and toilet stops later we made it to Delhi in the late afternoon evening. No time to go out and explore tonight so tomorrow I’ll hit the ground running.

So what is one to do when in the capital of India. First it’s on the metro to the city centre, then down to Lok Sabha (parliament building), President’s Palace and India Gate its now lunch time I am hot and ready to pass out under a tree with a cold coke. We (Katherine and I) and a great idea, India and England are playing cricket off to the field we go. Purchase tickets from a scalper (ummm... not that was interesting) find our gate only to find out that we are not allowed in with bags cameras and a few other items. With plenty of time to spare we go back to our hotel and drop off our bags etc.... From here we try to get a rickshaw back to the grounds only to find that they were charging 300% more than normal. Bah!!! Not doing that so back on the metro to and a 10 minute walk and we are in. The atmosphere was amazing a great game played by India. Sorry better luck next time England. Time to leave and head back before the locals. Who knows what could happen when the game finishes, 2 girls travelling alone umm... not a good idea.

After a big day walking in the hot sun and watching the cricket I can see this is going to be a good night’s sleep.
